Enjoy Every Experience in your Life
67Driving along side the Delaware River in New Jersey this evening, I applied a principle that I have learned that has significantly changed my life. Hi, I'm Ryan Critchett and I am an assistant. Not an assistant manager, not an nurses assistant, but an assistant in that my goal in life is to assist as many people as I can in being happy and accomplishing their life's goals. I am the author and creator of Power of a Positive Mind, and the Power of Achievement, my website and blog aimed at helping people to achieve the highest level of happiness, success, fulfillment and clarity in their lives. I come up with new ways in which to help others enrich their lives by using simple strategies, fundamental philosophies and incredibly powerful tools.
The principle that I applied, and that I want to talk with you about today, is the principle of capturing the moment. In my quest for true internal happiness, actual happiness (not the man made physical kind), I've realized that happiness is our natural position. It is happiness that is always there, inherently, but it is the constant everyday activity of the physical world we live in that can dilute and distort our natural position! I mean think about this for a second, weren't you happy as heck when you were a baby? Of course you were! You didn't know much about the world, you have no filters in your mind from which to judge and you were the most natural. I believe that through the complications of life, we become disconnected from that true natural self. Because we were given this incredible opportunity to have a choice in what we do, and what we believe, many people have adopted beliefs that aren't so supportive in what they truly want so as a result, that same kind of mindset spreads! Consequently, a great majority of people primarily complain about life and see it as a job or an obligation, never really interjecting and making it what it is naturally, truly supposed to be. This is where I come in.
Imagine you could take every situation in your life, and consciously make it an experience you'll never forget! How would that make you feel? What would that do to your mind state? What kind of life would you have? Things would be extraordinary for you! You see, the world is only what we subject ourselves to see. You make your world. You represent situations in your mind the way that leads to the results you get and the way that you feel. You can either choose to look at all things in life in terms of restrictions, problems, limitations and complaints or you can use the resourceful side of your nervous system to not only focus on the silver lining, what you can learn from any and every life situation, how you can better yourself, contribute and love other people, but also how you can make EVERY life experience you have, something so extraordinary, you'll never forget it!
Your life is what you focus on. What will you focus on? Resolve today to look at things in a different light. Do things differently than you always have if it's not getting you the life results you truly want. When you're driving down the road, along side the Delaware River, lost because you took a detour that went out of your way, you've been engaged in work for 9 hours and you're hungry, train yourself to look at the beautiful river floating along side of you. Condition yourself to focus on the fact that this is a great sight, that this is an adventure for you to live, that your life is full of mini adventures, everyday and that you are inherently, naturally, happy. Go back to that place, and your life will soon follow. It starts with you. Thanks so much for reading, this is Ryan Critchett.
